Eschewing the title \u201cteacher,\u201d he became my \u201cspiritual friend. He never claimed a label, whether Advaita or Kashmiri Shaiva. In fact, he stated unequivocally, \u201cThere is no teacher and there are no teachings.\u201d In fact, I can say that he didn\u2019t teach me anything.
